iOS 4.3.2 To be Released Within Two Weeks?

According to BGR sources reports that Apple is planing to release iOS 4.3.2.
The release will support iPhones, iPods and iPads and allegedly address security issues, squash couple of bugs and introduce ?several enhancements?.

It?s said to include a few enhancements, address security issues, and it will also fix several bugs that have affected users. We?re told to expect the software update for the iPhone, iPod touch and iPad in about two weeks.
last month suggest that many users are still experiencing battery issues with iOS 4.3.1, so hopefully Apple puts an end to the battery woes with iOS 4.3.2. As far as the ?security enhancements? iOS 4.3.2 brings, it will most likely patch the recently released redsn0w jailbreak exploit for iOS 4.3.1.

RedSn0w 0.9.6rc10 Untethered Jailbreak For iOS 4.3.1[Brings Boot Animation]

Just a minute ago, @MuscleNerd a core member of the iPhone Dev Team released an updated version of RedSn0w 0.9.6rc10 Untethered Jailbreak for iOS 4.3.1.
This updated version brings boot animation (This feature was also added in Sn0wbreeze 2.5.1 for Windows) & enhancements.
For who have already jailbroken their iOS device using RedSn0w 0.9.6rc9 can run the latest version of RedSn0w 0.9.6rc10 on top it and select Boot Animation. But, keep in mind to dis select Cydia to avoid package conflicts.
Once jailbroken, Launch Cydia and Install Animate from cydia.machackpc.com. That?s it!

Those running redsn0w may have noticed we enabled too many Settings options in some versions of the jailbreak (for instance, what you want your side switch to do, even if you have no side switch because you?re not using an iPad).   Release rc10 of redsn0w corrects that (you can just run it over your existing jailbreak?be sure to de-select Cydia to avoid package conflicts).
Along the way, we?ve also added the option to enable boot animations?these animations can be installed via Cydia, but be sure to select which animation to use via the Settings->Bootlogo setting after you?ve downloaded an animation (and again, you can just run rc10 over your existing jailbreak?be sure to de-select Cydia to avoid package conflicts).

Haypi Kingdom - Advance Tips Prestige

After you fully upgraded your cities and turrets/traps, what's next? You cannot proceed further to kill open troops to get more prestige as everyone is just as experienced as you and doing the same thing, hunting.

So, you build troops for prestige and send them on suicidal missions to high level forts if there are a lot of troops to feed or level 9 oasis if your troops are few. A buddy from Ancients told me that a good player can gain 20-27k/day of prestige by just building troops and killing them afterwards as it depletes food. - Credits to SevenX

You can buy wood from the market when it reaches 0.01 and build catapults. Definitely saves you time. Just occupy the most expensive resource oasis in the market which usually will be crop.

Fring Announces that Group Video Chat is Coming to the iPhone

The popular video chat app called fring has announced that it will bring the world?s first group video chat functionality to iOS and Android.
The fring app offered video chat on the iPhone long before Facetime, and it?s exciting to see such an innovative team bringing group video chat to the mobile space.
The group chat feature will allow you to have simultaneous video chat with up to four friends at once. Check out the demo video below?

From fring?s blog,
?The dev team is putting the finishing touches on a super cool new service: free, mobile Group Video Calls.
We are having too much fun with it already, and want to get some feedback from users ahead of public launch on Android & iPhone.
Of course, this is super-exciting as it?s the 1st time the world will get to enjoy free Group Video calls. This fring-feature lets 4 friends video call each other simultaneously, making it a mobile video calling party of sorts.?
This new feature from fring is currently in limited beta. You can sign up to be apart of helping with the final testing stages before the feature goes live in the App Store.
While I don?t personally use video chat often, I?m sure many people will find the ability to do group video chat on the iPhone very appealing.
Fring is available for free in the App Store. And the group video chat feature will not cost anything extra. Pretty cool stuff.
What do you think about group video chat coming to the iPhone in the form of a free app? Will Apple follow suit and update Facetime with group chat functionality?

Apple?s 30-Pin Dock Connector Could be Getting a Huge Upgrade

A new and interesting patent reveals a very interesting possibility for future iDevices. Apple?s current proprietary connection technology has been in need of an update for a long time,
and technologies like MagSafe have been considered as a replacement.
The current 30-pin connector is present on all of Apple?s mobile devices. And, apparently, Apple is looking to upgrade the 30-pin architecture with multiple connection technologies?

Patently Apple reports,
?Apple has just won a patent for an all-new Hybrid DisplayPort/USB 3.0 high speed connector. This new and extremely slim connector will work on all iOS devices like the iPod and eventually work its way through Apple?s entire hardware lineup.
Accordingly, Apple?s invention and patent cover various embodiments that could deliver male plug connectors and female receptacle in a reduced size ? in at least one direction. Some embodiments of the present invention provide support for one or more new high-speed communication standards such as USB 3.0 and DisplayPort ? combined.?
Multiple connection technologies in only one physical connection. Not too bad, Apple. Not too bad.
The 30-pin connector has been present on all of Apple?s mobile devices, and consequently on all accessories, since the beginning. Instead of totally ditching the 30-pin infrastructure, Apple seems to be doing the smart thing by adding technologies and keeping the current architecture.
It would be foolish to totally leave behind the 30-pin connector because all of the accessories on the market would suddenly become obsolete. If this patent is indeed an indication of the future, we?ll start to see the current 30-pin connector be phased out as Apple adopts faster technologies.
It?s unclear as to how Thunderbolt will play into all this, but hopefully we?ll see that blazing fast technology on the iPhone soon.
What do you think about this news? Do you think the iPhone 5 will have a different (or enhanced) dock connection?

FaceTime Bug Shows Random Pictures, Raises Privacy Concerns

A topic over at Apple?s Discussion Forums has a few users reporting an unusual glitch with the FaceTime app on their iPhone 4 handsets. iPhone 4 users are reporting that when using FaceTime,
the screen shows a random picture frozen on the screen.
It seems several iPhone 4 owners are experiencing this FaceTime glitch, which is increasing privacy concerns among the community. According to several users, the camera seems to be keeping random images that have not been taken before and don?t seem to originate from past FaceTime calls.
?My boyfriend and I have both recently experienced this problem several times ? when one of us is calling the other via FaceTime, an old picture freezes on our screen, while the person receiving the call only sees a black screen. It?s kind of creepy, because it brought up photos of both of us at work, where I have used FaceTime a few times but he never has.
Just minutes ago when i called my girlfriend and i saw a ?picture? of myself from today when i was at the office. I know it was from today because i had the exact same shirt. The weirdest thing is that picture is not stored on my iPhone.?
According to the users, restoring the iPhone 4 using iTunes does not seem to solve issue. Additionally, one user actually had his iPhone 4 replaced by Apple but still incurred the glitch on his replacement iPhone.
I rarely use FaceTime, if ever, but in the test calls I conducted, I was not able to replicate this glitch. We?re still waiting on official word from Apple, so stay tuned!
Have you encountered this glitch yet?

UltraSn0w Update is Almost Ready for iOS 4.3.1, Fixes Bug Issues and Older Baseband Compatibility

MuscleNerd has confirmed that UltraSn0w update is coming for iOS 4.3.1 in a few days.
The unlock tool has had several bugs and is currently incompatible with several older basebands.
To clarify: the upcoming UltraSn0w update will not unlock any new basebands. The update is meant for current unlockers that wish to update to the latest 4.3.1 jailbreak and keep their unlock.
As we previously mentioned, the new version of UltraSn0w will fix all compatibility issues with the latest version of iOS.

As MuscleNerd mentions, the signal bar bugs, etc. have been fixed and are currently being tested to ensure stability. The UltraSn0w update will soon be available in Cydia for current unlockers.
If you rely on an unlock for your iPhone, hold off on updating your jailbreak to 4.3.1 until UltraSn0w is made compatible with your baseband. If you have a new iPhone 4 (Verizon iPhone included) and have never unlocked your device, you still won?t be able to do so with this UltraSn0w update.
?Just a note that for those of you experiencing the issue even with a baseband version that doesn?t qualify for an unlock, you can still use this version of UltraSnow, as it will skip the unlock, and just fix the signal bar issue.?
Unlockers must use PwnageTool to jailbreak iOS 4.3.1 and preserve their baseband for the updated unlock. Check out our tutorial on jailbreaking with PwnageTool. You can also use Sn0wBreeze on Windows to preserve your baseband.
We?ll keep you posted on when UltraSn0w?s update goes live in Cydia. Let us know if you have any issues with your unlock below!

Update iPhone 4 to 4.3.1and Preserve Baseband [Full Guide]

How upgrade your iPhone 4 from iOS 4.x to iOS 4.3.1 without upgrading its baseband AKA preserve Unlockable Baseband using TinyUmbrella for Windows.
Please Note: This ONLY Works with the iPhone 4!

Step One

Download TinyUmbrella from here Also make sure to download the iPhone 4 iOS 4.3.1 which you can find here.
Step Two
Double click the downloaded TinyUmbrella.exe file.

If you get a Windows Firewall notification, check both boxes and click Allow Access.

Step Three
Make sure the device is connected, and Umbrella has detected the type of device and its firmware.

**If you haven't already saved your iOS 4.3.1 SHSH blobs then click Save SHSH. Make sure they successfully save before continuing.

Step Four
Hit Start TSS Server and make sure you receive no errors.

Once The TSS Server is "running" successfully, umbrella will kill iTunes. Leave TinyUmbrella Open. You can double check to see if the TSS server is running under the Log tab.

If you do receive an error, DO NOT continue. Your restore will not work if the TSS server cannot be started.

Step Five
Open iTunes by doubling clicking its icon.

Hold down the Shift key and click Restore

Select your iPhone 4.3.1 firmware file from the popup window that appears and click Open.

Click Restore to begin restoring your device.

Step Six
iTunes should give you error 1013. This is what we wanted, as it notes the baseband has not updated :) Click Ok and close iTunes.

If you get a 16XX error then try entering DFU and go to step 5.

If your restore does NOT end in a 1013, it means your baseband was updated. This is likely because you did not have the TSS server running OR you updated without TinyUmbrella OR you are working with a device OTHER than iPhone 4.

Step Seven
Place your iPhone into DFU mode by holding down both the Power and Home buttons for ten seconds, then release the Power button and continue holding the Home button for another 5 seconds. You can find help with DFU mode here.

Step Eight
Fix Recovery in TinyUmbrella is currently not working. Download this standalone .exe file to fix recovery on 4.3.1. Extract the file and double click on fixrecovery43.exe. A command prompt will open, and the program will go through the process. During this time, you will notice scrolling text on your iPhone 4.

Step Nine
Your iPhone will now be on 4.3.1 with the 1.59.00 baseband! (Which means you can now unlock)
